Here is our tour in detail. It was organized by " Holiday Reisen". It was six day trip by bus andcosted 199DM per person with 5 day hotel and breakfast ( very simple). You can see " Holiday Reisen"written on the bus. The bus left fromBerlin at 6 p.m .at Alex. platze at the northeast corner. They changeda new Driver when the bus was near Nürnberg. The second driver wouldtake us travelling around Italy. The(third) last driver would be onduty while we came back to Nürnberg. The hotel was double room withshower. But the water temperature was hard to get warm. The terriblething is the boss switched off heating at midnight. But I think thatthere is no problem in summer. In addition , there were less peoplespeaking English in Italy than in Münster. I guess you can hardly seeso many things if you go on yourself. But it was very tired. I justremember that I was always travelling on the bus. Travelling all thenight through München, Innsbruck, we arrived at a small city which isat seaside about 11 a.m.in the next day. The bus stop was just 300meters away from the sea. Having a half hour rest, we started again.Nearly one hour later, we arrived at Pisa., and the stop is justbeside the Miraculous square . We are given one and a half hour. Thereare famous leaning tower of Pisa and Mericuler square. It is said thatthere is a cemetery, the paintings on the outside wall of the cemeteryis worth seeing and the earth was brought back from Jerusalem by crossarmy. But I hadn't found it. May you good lucky. After one hourdriving to east, we reached the first hotel at a holiday town nearFlorence. The centre of the town is beautiful. You can ask a map fromthe householder and have a short visit. It is only ten minutes onfoot. The third day, we departed at 8:00am. One hour later we arrived inFlorence, where the bus stopped near city centre, so you can visit onfoot instead of joining the citysighting which costs 20DM. We weregiven 3.5 hours. It's enough to visit there, including two bigsquares and a special bridge, the church there is very different fromother's. At 4 p.m the bus collected us and had a ten minutes stop ata hill, where you should take a few picture about the whole city. Weleft Florence and went for San Gimignano which is a very old castlebuilt around 400 AD. Then we travelled about 4 hours through Rome andreached Fiuggi which is about 70 kilos south from Rome, and we hadlived there for three nights. It is unconvinent to visit other placesfrom there, because it is far from railway station and there is noexpress train there. The schedule for the fourth day is to Rome, and you need pay 60DM forRome citysighting. But we visited Rome by ourselves. We left Fiuggito Anagni by bus at 9:00 am. Then we took train to Rome. We arrivedRome at 11:00 and take the 18:35 train went back to Anagni. Theconnected bus took us back to Fuiigi. That train is always lateaccording to what natives said. It was a half hour late in our tour. You should stand at the door and take care of the station's name. Thereturn ticket costed 6000+8500 lira. It is like day ticket in Berlin. You can take all the public traffic in Rome with it.
The ticket issold in the bar of bus stop. If you don't like to take your breakfastat hotel, you can take an early bus. You can see the timetable at thebus station. The timetable also tell you the connected train. Iremember that there are bus at 7:20 and 8:20. You should check it.According to my opinion, there are three main areas to visit in Rome.Vatican, Colosseum and it surrodings, and some sighting in city. Youcan take bus No. 64 ( from railway station to Vatican city )go to thefirst two scenes. Be sure to go into the Vatican church and have alook. You must go on foot to visit the others in city, includingPiazza Navona , Fontana Trevi , Patheon and Piazza di spagna(spanishsteps) We had not visited any museum in Italy. The underground traincan also reach Vatican city, spanish steps and Colosseum. There is aWC ( which costs 200 lira ) to the north of Colosseum. The fifth day is to visit Vesuvio volcano and pompei city. You needpay another 60DM for travel, besides you must pay 5.500 lira forclimbing peak of Vesuvio volcano and 12,000 lira for Pompei city. Ithink it is worth visiting . It shows us the human life of 2000B.C.But I think it was a little bit expensive. Most of our group visitedFuiggi in this day. It's a famous convalesent site. Anothe choice isto visit Rome once more if you want to see more things. We visitedVesuvio volcano about 1 hour and arrived Pompei at 12:30. The guideled us visit a jewelry manufactory about 20 minutes. But the price ishigher than market which locates outside the sightings just like inChina.. And the price for Chinese is cheaper than that for Japanese. Then it was 1 hour for lunch. (At this time, you can short your lunchtime to visit the city by youselves and wait the guide inside city. Besure tell your plan to the guide in case he look for you). After thata new guide led us to visit Pompei city The guide led us visiting cityfor nearly 2 hours. I asked him give us a English explanation. He wasvery kind and give his explanation in German and then in English. So Iknow more things about the city. When guide led us go back through themain square which is the second or third sighting in his guidance (That means he will finish his work ). You can start your sighting, and don't follow him to the exit, and visit the city by youselves foranother 20 minutes when the guide finishes explanation. The next stop is Venece. We left fiuggi at 7:00 a.m and arrived Veneceat 2:00 p.m. At there you can see by walking all over the city withinan hour instead of paying 20DM for taking boat .The most beautifulparts are Porte Rialto and San Marco Piazza. We were given 3.5 hoursthere. But 2 hours is enough to stroll over the small city. At 18:30we left the centre of Venece for the last hotel which located in LidoDi Jesole. It's to the northeast of Venezia island. The hotel is just100 meters away from sea. I guess you can see sunrise in summer. There are two super markets in Fiuggi so for as I know. You can seethem on the way to Anagni or come back. The nearer only is about 30minutes walking from hotel. The price there is nearly the same as thatin Germany. The last day is to come back to Berlin with one day via Austria, you can see the grand scenery of Alps before 11:00. There is a long tunel which is 6.4km long. On the south of it, the scenery was spring. On the north of it, the scenery was cold winter. We return to Berlin at 10:30 at Fehrbelliner Platze ( we took U-bahn there ) and 11:00 p.m. at Alex.platze.In conclusion, we spent 199DM per person for bus in Germany. 60 DM perperson for visiting P
